Denholm Fuears and Householders Council (SCO42692)

The Denholm Feuars and Householders Council are moving towards becoming a SCIO and therefore an amended constitution is being looked into as I write this.
Here is the current Constitution.

On 6th May 2024 a new committee was established after a vote of no confidence was put to the previous committee.
There are many issues to deal with and although it will take time we are looking ahead with great positivity for the future.

Denholm Feuars & Householders Council is the body responsible for the land gifted to their Trustees, to be managed for the benefit of the village, by Mrs Palmer Douglas, in 1946, and the Lower Dean gifted likewise by Mr Michael Braithwaite in 2019.

Mrs Mary Douglas or Palmer Douglas of Cavers in a Disposition and Deed of Gift dated 1946, (“the property”), gave land to the Trustees for Denholm Feuars’ and Householders’ Council namely the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary and their successors in office, and in so doing wished to promote the conservation of the physical, cultural and historical heritage of Denholm along with the provision of recreational facilities for use by the inhabitants of Denholm.
